Hi Reader,

This week we’re talking about cortisol.

Often called the “stress hormone,” cortisol is essential for survival, but when it stays elevated over time, it can begin to shift the body in ways that are not supportive for long-term health and aging.

This includes the impact it can have on bone health.

Chronically elevated cortisol can:

  • increase bone breakdown
  • reduce bone formation
  • interfere with calcium balance

This is one of the reasons why stress, sleep, and daily rhythm matter so much more than we often think.

Supporting your bones isn’t just about what you eat … it’s about the environment your body is in.

I walk you through this in this week’s video, along with simple ways to support your nervous system and bring your body back into balance.

Watch the video here.

Next week, we’ll talk about blood sugar, and why it matters for your bones. Enjoy the video!

P.S. We’ll be talking about this in a much deeper way in the Nourish your Bones workshop, how stress, sleep, and your nervous system directly influence bone strength (something most people completely overlook). Plus… a live cooking demo + simple practices you can bring into your daily rhythm.
